Great post Tom,
I was fortunate enough to send my sons to parochial school. My choice and sacrifice to do so. Full disclosure. I have always said that as a private school, we had to pay rent to the public school across the street for gym time. Guess what, I've already paid for that gym. I have to pay for education three times; once in my tuition, once in my property taxes and the third in retraining the people who didn't pay attention the first time. (see the article above) The preceding was sour grapes.

Subbing in charter schools, I can see how they do make a difference. Our current education model is beyond broken. I wish IMSA would take on Ben Davis or ICHS take on Warren and get 1% of their facilities. If you are looking (again) for a great ROI in state schools, look at what happens inside these buildings.
